Sitting above our home on a hillside looking out at the stunning view of Cabrita Island & the bay of Port Maria is Firefly...Once owned by the pirate & later Governer of Jamaica, Cpt: Henry Morgan...Firefly is still as Noel left it, you can wander the rooms & garden's...His hand carved 4 poster bed was a gift from Ian 'James Bond' Fleming, who lived down the road at Golden Eye..
His first home, now Blue Harbour Hotel, sits to the left of our beach. This was where Noel's famous guests would stay & relax..Greta garbo, Sean Connery,Liz Taylor,Richard Burton, Princess Margette & more have all been house guests of Noel's & visitors to beautiful Castle Garden & Port Maria...
Cpt: Morgans House is now the bar & gift shop...
Jimmy Adams - Cricketer
If you hate cricket, this won't mean a thing!
But Jimmy Adams, ex West Indies captain & renowned player was born here in 1960 & his house is just down the road. This left handed batsman has also played for Nottingshire in England...His father is Dr.Adams who still runs the local surgery & his Mum is the district nurse...so if you do get sick on your visit Dr.Adams will make sure you don't get 'licked for six'!!
